Chairman and Chief Creative Officer – Greater China
Prior to his role of Chairman and Chief Creative Officer for BBDO Greater China, Leong attained his advertising nous through successful stints in agencies across Asia, and marked the journey with a slew of international awards, which placed him firmly in the chart of “Top 50 Hottest Creative in Asia 2005”
Ever since Leong took over the creative helm for BBDO Greater China in 2006, the agency has been a constant winner for “Creative Agency of the Year” at Campaign Asia Awards, and was ranking at #7 in the “World’s Smartest Agencies Top 100”, published by WARC (World Advertising Research Center) in 2014.
In 2018, BBDO China also received the highest honor in the Effective Social Strategy category at WARC 100, walking away with a Grand Prix – the first WARC Grand Prix awarded for an agency based in China. And Leong is being awarded as “Greater China Creative Person of The Year” in Campaign Asia Awards 2018.
Leong is currently a council member of BBDO Asia Creative Council, and also the Global Board of Director of The One Club for Creativity.
Despite the rapid pace of the advertising industry, Leong also leads a double life as a music composer, writing songs for notable Asian stars, including Andy Lau, JJ Lin and Kit Chan, picking up trophy in major pop music awards show across Asia Pacific.
